Bio

I have worked in varied applied environmental roles over the past 20 years, both as a private consultant and public sector employee.
My experience is in freshwater, stormwater, and wastewater, biodiversity, and environmental management – from design and consenting, through to policy development. This work has been as a technical expert, project manager, and collaborator, working in both urban and rural areas.

I have also been extensively involved in social and cultural aspects of water, and was fortunate to have worked together with tangata whenua on various projects. A highlight has been collaborating with mātauranga Māori experts on matters of mauri and mahinga kai, and completing water-related cultural assessments with tangata whenua – partnering with mātauranga Māori experts.

I am solution driven, pragmatic, and customer focused.
